If you are currently a member of the STS in a different chapter but want to be a member of the Saskatoon chapter, the process is simple:
The request to transfer Chapter Membership from one chapter to another can be made by emailing the STS Office at sts@sts.sk.ca or by phoning the STS Office at 306-373-3879. There is no form to complete and you do not need to contact the chapter. The STS Office will notify the Chapter Presidents when a member joins their chapter and will provide the member's name, address and phone number.
If you are currently a member of the STS, but not currently in a chapter, and want to be a member of the Saskatoon chapter, the process is also simple:
The request to join the Saskatoon chapter can be made by emailing the STS Office at sts@sts.sk.ca or by phoning the STS Office at 306-373-3879. There is no form to complete and you do not need to contact the chapter. The STS Office will notify the Chapter Presidents when a member joins their chapter and will provide the member's name, address and phone number.
If someone belongs to one chapter and wants to retain that membership even though they may have moved to a new community, they may wish to become an associate member of the new chapter. They can contact the new chapter directly. Each individual chapter has their own bylaw/policy on Associate members. An STS member cannot be a full member of more than one chapter.
Anyone receiving or having received an allowance under the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Superannuation Act or the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Retirement Plan may become a member of the Saskatoon Chapter.
